Our pet store directory shows where pet store puppies come from. For each store, we track the licensed and unlicensed breeders and brokers it has bought from, using records we obtain through public records requests.
Many pet stores tell customers their puppies come from licensed, reputable breeders. A license only means a facility is registered and inspected. In the last three years, 63% of the puppy stores we track bought from breeders with state or federal violations.
Search by store name, city, or state, then open a store’s profile to see its sourcing history by year and the breeders and brokers it is connected to.
Click a store to view its sourcing history, breeder connections, and inspection data. A lack of listed connections is an indication that information may be unavailable or still under investigation. Please reach out with any questions.
