2.75(b)(1) (Non-Critical) – Records: Dealers and exhibitors.
During the review of paperwork and records it was noted that the acquisition records were incomplete. All of the required information for whom the animals were purchased from or otherwise acquired was unavailable at the time of inspection. Appropriate documentation of acquired regulated animals is essential for proper identification, tracing forward and trace back of the animals. The licensee must correctly document records of acquisition for all regulated animals, including animals born on the premises, and assure that all records are kept as required. To be corrected from this day, June 24, 2026, forward.
3.10(a) (Non-Critical) – Watering
Three puppies were observed in a temporary holding enclosure while their primary enclosure was being cleaned. At the time of inspection, no water was available to the puppies in the holding enclosure. Failure to provide continuous access to potable water may adversely affect the health and well-being of dogs. Potable water must be continuously available to the dogs. To be corrected from this day, June 24, 2026, forward.
3.153(a)(2) (Non-Critical) – Primary enclosures.
Two enclosures housing birds did not have a sufficient number of perches. One display case measuring approximately 3 ft X 3 Ft X 2.5 ft, housed 30 parakeets. The enclosure had one perch above the floor approximately 26“ long and capable of comfortably resting 12-14 birds. The other enclosure measuring approximately 2.5ft X 2.5 ft X 3 ft housed 30 parakeets, provided enough perches to comfortably rest 10-13 of the birds in the enclosure (a swing, an attached 8” perch, an attached 10” perch and a curved branch on the floor of the cage). Failure to supply enough perching space may result in competition for the available space and may prevent birds from engaging in normal resting and movement behaviors. Primary enclosures must provide a sufficient number of perches to comfortably hold all the birds in the enclosure at the same time, including birds that are ranked low in a dominance hierarchy. To be corrected by July 8, 2026. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with facility representatives. n
