3.1(c)(3) (Non-Critical) – Housing facilities, general.
Eight enclosures housing 9 adult dogs and 12 puppies have an excessive buildup of feces in the outdoor side of their sheltered enclosures. The licensee stated that the enclosures had not been cleaned in 3 or 4 days and is planning on cleaning them today. A buildup of feces could cause the dogs to become soiled and increase the risk of poor health and disease. Hard surfaces in contact with dogs must be spot-cleaned daily to prevent the accumulation of feces and reduce disease hazards. Correction date: December 11, 2023 This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n
