3.13(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The facility does not have the names of treatments, nor the dates of administration recorded in the medical records. The program of veterinary care states that Distemper/Parvo/Hepatitis/Leptospirosis (7-way vaccine) and rabies vaccines will be administered annually to adult dogs. While reviewing available medical records for vaccines there were 23 adult dogs found to not have a current medical record for the administration of the 7-way and rabies vaccines. The facility representative states the vaccines were administered in September 2025, and these dogs are up to date, but he forgot to document this on a medical record. The last recorded 7-way and rabies vaccine was administered to the herd on October 7, 2024. Failure to record the names and dates for all treatments administered does not allow for APHIS officials to determine if adequate veterinary care has been provided for animals covered under the Animal Welfare Act. The licensee must ensure that the names of all vaccines and treatments administered, and the dates of administration are recorded and maintained. Correct from this day April 22, 2026 and going forward. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the facility representative. n
