The outdoor runs of the sheltered building in the tent area are excessively dirty. There are nine enclosures containing 10 adults and 22 puppies. All nine outdoor runs are over three quarters covered in fecal material. Outdoor runs that are mostly covered in feces, dirt and grime can harbor disease, lead to infection, and illness to the animals. The licensee must ensure that floors by spot-cleaned with sufficient frequency to ensure all animals the freedom to avoid contact with excreta. A responsible adult was not available to accompany APHIS Officials during the inspection process at 11:10am on 02 May 2024. The inspector attempted to contact the licensee by cell phone and was told that he and the facility representative were not available for inspection and that there was no one else to walk through for an inspection. Failure to provide access to the facility, animals, and records for inspection is a serious violation of the AWA and regulations. Failure to comply may result in enforcement action.
