Complete and accurate records are needed to ensure each animal’s identity can be known with certainty and to facilitate the ability to trace dogs. The licensee must ensure that they make, keep, and maintain records that fully and correctly disclose all the required information concerning each dog purchased or otherwise acquired, owned, held, or otherwise in his or her possession or under his or her control, or which is transported, euthanized, sold, or otherwise disposed of by that dealer or exhibitor. Correct by 12/13/22. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n

3.13(a)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
* The last recorded date of heartworm and fecal float testing for 23 dogs was 6/24/22. The Program of Veterinary Care states that this licensee must test 10 % of the dogs in the facility for heartworm disease and fecal testing every year. Parasite testing according to the sampling plan outlined by the attending veterinarian in the Program of Veterinary care is important for the health of the animals. Heartworm and fecal float testing are done to ensure that there are no internal parasites. Heartworms are serious parasites that are transmitted by mosquito bites. The licensee must ensure that a sampling and treatment of parasites and other pests (including fleas, worms, coccidia, giardia, and heartworm) must be done in accordance with a schedule approved by the attending veterinarian. Correct by 11/30/23 This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the facility representative. n
