3.13(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The licensee has not maintained vaccination and deworming records for all the puppies born on the premise. Failure to document the vaccine or dewormer name and administration dates for the adults and puppies can make it difficult to verify that the Program of Veterinary Care is being followed as written and that the dogs are receiving the appropriate preventative care. Medical records for dogs must contain the name of all vaccines and treatments administered and the dates of administration. Correct by 11/21/2022. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n

3.6(a)(2)(i) (Non-Critical) – Primary enclosures.
There are two primary enclosures in a state of disrepair. In the second outdoor run, housing one adult German Shepherd, there is an area of the steel wall panel where the metal has become detached from the support and has curled into the enclosure. In the same enclosure, two pieces of aluminum, used to secure the end panel to the divider panel, have curled into the enclosure and one has become partially detached. In an additional outdoor run, housing three adult dogs, the end of the steel wall panel has separated from the support which has exposed the insulation and rough metal. All of these areas have created sharp, rough metal edges in the enclosures. Failure to maintain primary enclosures can allow for sharp points or edges which can result in injury to the animals. Primary enclosures must be constructed and maintained so that they have no sharp points or edges that could injure the dogs. Correct by August 2, 2023. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n
