3.13(a)(4) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
At time of inspection approximately ten out of fifty dogs were exhibiting matting of the hair coat. Seven female Poodles (9920000000189923, 9920000000189928, 9920000000172839, 9920000000189974, 9920000000948372, 9920000000162739, 9410002207384) and three male poodles . The matting ranges from small and pendulous, mostly around the chest and neck area, to medium sized matting diffused on the hind legs and flank area. Matted hair can cause discomfort and possible skin problems. The licensee should review the facilities program of veterinary care as to how to maintain and ensure healthy and unmatted hair coats.
