3.1(a) (Non-Critical) – Housing facilities, general.
-The covered opening of an outside shelter housing two beagles has partially collapsed and needs repair. A long, threaded screw with a sharp point is exposed in the upper remaining portion of the entrance. The metal framework of the opening is rusted and has several sharp edges. -A second outside enclosure housing a beagle and a dachshund has a shelter with an opening that has metal framework which is bent and has sharp edges. Housing facilities for dogs and cats must be designed and constructed so that they are structurally sound. They must be kept in good repair, and they must protect the animals from injury, contain the animals securely, and restrict other animals from entering. Corrected at time of inspection. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n
