3.3(e)(1)(iii) (Non-Critical) – Sheltered housing facilities.
Enclosures contain surfaces that are not impervious to moisture. In the exercise yard that is directly attached to the outside runs, the wood fence that is in contact with the animals is not impervious to moisture. Surfaces in contact with the animals that are not impervious to moisture can absorb moisture and harbor bacteria while being unable to be properly cleaned and sanitized possibly exposing the animals to disease hazards. Correct by ensuring all walls, boxes, houses, dens, and other surfaces in contact with the animals in sheltered housing facilities are impervious to moisture. Correct by 8-MAY-2026.
3.13(a)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The facility is not following the written Program of Veterinary Care (PVC). The PVC states to administer Distemper and Parvovirus vaccines at 7 weeks of age and a Bordetella vaccine at 4 and 8 weeks of age. Maltipoo puppies (#25-10,#25- 11,#25-12) did not receive these vaccinations. Failure to administer required vaccines in accordance with a veterinary approved schedule may result in animals to not be adequately protected against disease and/or can cause pain and distress. Correct by ensuring all animals are vaccinated in accordance with the schedule approved by the Attending Veterinarian. Correct by 22-APRIL-2026.
3.13(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The facility does not maintain complete medical records for all dogs. Records revealed that an adult female Miniature Goldendoodle (#6118) tested positive for Coccidia on 7/22/25. The facility states that this animal did receive treatment but they did not have documentation. Failure to maintain adequate medical records may interfere with the ability of APHIS officials to determine if the animals are receiving adequate veterinary care. Complete medical records must be maintained and include the names of all vaccines and treatments administered and the dates of administration. Correct by documenting all treatments given and ensure that medical records are complete and contain the required information. Correct by 22-APRIL-2026. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the Licensee. n
