2.75(a)(1) (Non-Critical) – Records: Dealers and exhibitors.
There were at least 4 litters of puppies that were not listed on the Record of Acquisition of Dogs and Cats on Hand (APHIS form 7005) or a cage cage placed on the primary enclosures with the correct information. Failure to keep and maintain records of dogs and puppies on hand makes it difficult to keep track of animals. Licensee needs to keep and maintain records of puppies under 16 weeks on APHIS form 7005 or use an appropriate cage card on the primary enclosure to identify puppies. Correct by September 18, 2023.
3.1(b) (Non-Critical) – Housing facilities, general.
Condition and Site. There were accumulations of hair and dust on the floor of the food storage room. Shelves and cart storing veterinary supplies had accumulations of dust and clutter. Housing facilities and food storage areas must be free of accumulations of dust, hair, and discarded items to protect supplies from contamination and pests. Correct by routinely cleaning floors, shelves, and carts of clutter, hair, dust, and discarded items. Correct by September 18, 2023. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n

3.13(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
There were no current records listing the date and name of the last deworming treatments that the adult dogs received. Licensee stated that he follows a deworming schedule for the male and female adult dogs, but that he did not have a current list of deworming treatments. Failure to record the dates and names of all treatments makes it difficult to access whether the written program of veterinary care is being followed as prescribed by the attending veterinarian and that dogs are receiving preventative care to prevent health risks. Correct by March 3, 2025. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n
