3.3(e)(1)(iii) (Non-Critical) – Sheltered housing facilities.
An outside run of an enclosure from the sheltered housing facility containing three 5-month-old female Labrador dogs has a portion of the wall that is not impervious to moisture. The dogs have chewed away an area, approximately 1.5 ft in length and 7 inches at the highest point, of the vinyl paneling located just above the cement partition of the wall along the building. The area underneath the missing vinyl is plyboard. Areas that dogs come into contact within a sheltered housing facility must be impervious to moisture so that appropriate cleaning and sanitizing can be performed. Correct by ensuring all walls and other surfaces in contact with the animals be impervious to moisture. Correct by: March 1, 2026.
3.10(a) (Direct) – Watering
Three 5-month-old female Labrador dogs did not have access to water. When asked, the licensee refilled their bowl of water. All of the dogs drank from the bowl, from approximately 45 seconds to 90 seconds in duration. Two started initially drinking greedily for approximately 20 and 45 seconds. The dog that drank for 20 seconds came back to the bowl again and drank more. The third dog came in when they cleared out and drank for a few seconds. Two 4-month-old Cane Corso dogs also had no access to water in their enclosure. Their water bowl was empty and when it was filled, they did not drink and did not show interest in the water. The licensee reports the water bowls were filled this morning during chores. Access to water is necessary to prevent excessive thirst or dehydration. Correct by ensuring potable water is provided continually to all dogs and puppies. Correct by: January 22, 2026, onward. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n

2.126(b) (Non-Critical) – Access and inspection of records and property; submission of itineraries.
A responsible adult was not available to accompany APHIS Officials during the inspection process at 12:15pm on 1 May 2026. An adult on the property told the inspector neither the licensee, nor any responsible adult, was available to accompany an inspection at that time. Failure to provide access to the facility, animals, and records for inspection is a violation of the AWA and regulations. Continued failure to provide access is serious and may result in enforcement action. End Section
