2.40(b)(2) (Non-Critical) – Attending veterinarian and adequate veterinary care (dealers and exhibitors).
A male poodle (microchip ID# 991003002372514) born 10/26/24 has a yellow mucousy discharge coming from its right eye. The licensee had observed this prior to inspection. The licensee’s program of veterinary care has instructions for treatment based on what was observed, but the licensee had not initiated treatment or contacted the attending veterinarian in regard to the eye. Untreated eye conditions can become worse, can affect the sight of the dog, and can be painful. The licensee must either initiate treatment based on what is written in the program of veterinary care or contact the attending veterinarian and follow the attending veterinarian’s treatment plan. Correct starting on 9/17/25. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. End of report. n
