3.13(a)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The facility does not have record of fecal tests performed on adult dogs. Failure to follow a written and Attending Veterinarian approved schedule for sampling and treatment of parasites and other pests can lead to a delay in treatment for the animals in the facility. The licensee must ensure that sampling and treatment of parasites and other pests in accordance with a schedule approved by the Attending Veterinarian is followed. Correct by January 31, 2023.
3.13(a)(4) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
One male golden retriever microchip number 50468 was observed by the inspector with a matted hair on the dogs back. Three king charles cavalier females microchip numbers 57370, 36727, and 57632, were found with matted hair behind their ears. Hair matting causes discomfort and can lead to sores and infections in dogs when not treated appropriately. The licensee must ensure that all dogs receive preventative care and treatment to ensure healthy and unmatted hair coats, properly trimmed nails, and clean and healthy eyes, ears, skin, and teeth. Correct by January 18,2023. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the Facility Representative. End Section
