2.40(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Attending veterinarian and adequate veterinary care (dealers and exhibitors).
During the inspection an infected right ear was found on an female Cavalier Spaniel named Zoe. The facility had not identified the infection. The inside of the ear was slightly red and had moderate amounts of greasy brown exudate in the ear canal and covering about 10 percent of the underside of the pinna. Failure to perform adequate daily observations can lead to missed medical conditions that can progress without treatment. The facility must conduct daily observation of all the animals to assess their health and provide needed veterinary care. Correction date: July 9, 2024 This inspection and exit interview were conducted with a facility representative. n
