3.10(a) (Non-Critical) – Watering
Approximately nine adult dogs had no water. On one side of the sheltered building the licensee noted that after doing chores an hour or so ago they dumped the water and forgot to fill them back up. The licensee fixed the issue at the time of the inspection without the inspector asking and some of the dogs were seen drinking for long periods of time. Two Cavalier King Charles drank for approximately 25 seconds, one Australian Shepherd drank for approximately 50 seconds, and a Miniature Poodle drank for approximately 30 seconds. Failure to provide continuous potable water may result in severe dehydration which could have a detrimental impact on the health of the animal. Potable water must be continuously available for dogs. The licensee must ensure that each dog is provided with potable water at all times in order to support their health and well-being. To be corrected by: The licensee provided each dog with water at the time of the inspection and must continue from this date of August 28, 2025 This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee..
