3.13(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The licensee did not document the treatments administered or the dates of administration for two dogs that were identified as having ear infections at the last veterinary visit. The licensee stated that the dogs were treated, however, she had forgotten to write down the treatment information. It’s important to maintain complete medical records to ensure that the dogs are receiving treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Licensees must maintain medical records for dogs which include all vaccines and treatments administered and the dates of administration. Correct by: August 19, 2022. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with a facility representative and the licensee. n
