2.50(a)(2) (Non-Critical) – Time and method of identification.
Approximately half of the litters of puppies did not have cage cards and thus were not officially identified. Complete and accurate identification of all dogs and puppies are necessary for proper management and traceability of the animals. Live puppies or kittens, less than 16 weeks of age, shall be identified by: An official tag as described in § 2.51, a distinctive and legible tattoo marking approved by the Administrator, a plastic-type collar acceptable to the Administrator which has legibly placed thereon the information required for an official tag pursuant to Sec. 2.51 or cage card attached to the enclosure that identifies the puppies with the female and to include all required information of the litter. Correct by 12 Dec. 2024

2.75(a)(1) (Non-Critical) – Records: Dealers and exhibitors.
The licensees Record of Acquisition and Dogs on Hand form (APHIS form 7005) is not accurate and up-to-date to reflect the current listing of dogs in the kennel at the time of the inspection. Some dogs listed on the forms are no longer present in the kennel, 4 puppies older than 16 weeks of age are not listed on the form and several dogs purchased months ago are also not listed on the form. Complete and accurate records for all dogs present in the kennel must be maintained in order to ensure that each animal’s identity can be known with certainty and to facilitate the movement of animals. The licensee must ensure all of the information required on APHIS form 7005 is recorded for all of the dogs in the kennel.
