3.1(f) (Non-Critical) – Housing facilities, general.
An accumulation of pest droppings was observed around the food storage containers in the breeder building. A hole which allows for drainage of the wash downs was noted in this area without a cover. Vermin can contribute to the spread of disease and can have a negative affect on the health of the dogs. The licensee does have a pest control system in place, however it not sufficiently managing pests. Drainage systems must be constructed in a manner which minimizes vermin and pest infestations. The licensee must correct this issue. ******Correct by April 1, 2021 This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. End Section

2.40(b)(2) (Non-Critical) – Attending veterinarian and adequate veterinary care (dealers and exhibitors).
A male standard poodle was observed with matted hair. The head, neck and body had recently been clipped, however all four legs and feet were matted. Matted hair can become painful as it has the potential to lift and pull on the underlying skin. Allowing the hair on a dog to become matted does not constitute proper veterinary care. The licensee must ensure clipping is routinely completed in order to prevent matted hair coats on the dogs. *******Correct by 4/27/2023

Jagged wire was observed at the bottom of the chain link wire divider which was between two enclosures. Jagged wire protruding into enclosures could possibly allow the dogs to become injured.
