3.6(a)(2)(iii) (Non-Critical) – Primary enclosures.
A 3-week old Teddy was observed to be sticking it’s head through the front enclosure bars. I asked the licensee if any pups have fallen through the front enclosure bars and he stated that one puppy fell through the bars yesterday. It was not injured. Puppies falling through the front bars of the enclosure could injure themselves on the fall. They could also get their heads stuck and get injured that way. The licensee must ensure the primary enclosure is designed and constructed of suitable materials to ensure that no puppies are able to fall through or stick their heads through the front bars of the enclosure. Correct by 7/27/23.

3.13(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The licensee has purchased all his adult dogs from other breeders within the past year. He is not sure if they are currently up to date on their distemper and parvo vaccines. He was unable to provide any documentation showing his adults are up to date on their distemper and parvo vaccines. Not having proper documentation showing the dogs are up to date on their parvo and distemper vaccines doesn’t ensure the dogs are adequately protected against these diseases. The licensee must either track down the dogs’ vaccine records or he must get all the adult dogs current on their distemper and parvo vaccines and be able to make those records available at future inspections.
