The facility did not create and maintain complete medical records for all treatments given to puppies at the kennel. Prior to delivery to the buyer, the facility gives each puppy a ponazuril/SMZ combination liquid medication once a day for three days for the treatment or prevention of intestinal parasites. The facility has not been recording those doses of medication administration. It is important to keep complete medical records so that the medical history can be relayed to the new owners, and to ensure the correct dosages and timing of administration of medication is being carried out according to the instruction by the veterinarian. Correct by ensuring the facility keeps copies of medical records including the dates and names of all vaccines and treatments administered.
