A responsible adult was not available to accompany APHIS Officials during the inspection process at 3:05 pm on 21 April, 2021. I reached the licensee by phone but she was out of town and would not be back home within an hour. End Section

3.1(c)(3) (Non-Critical) – Housing facilities, general.
Several of the wind/rain breaks on the shelters in the outdoor housing facility had dirt and grime on them. Dirt and grime can harbor organisms that cause disease in dogs. The licensee must ensure that surfaces with which the dogs come in contact are cleaned and sanitized when necessary to satisfy generally accepted husbandry standards and practices. To be corrected by August 31, 2021.

3.9(b) (Non-Critical) – Feeding
A plastic feeding receptacle had chewed edges that contained dirt and grime. Dirt and grime can harbor organisms that cause disease in dogs. The licensee must ensure that feeding receptacles are maintained so that they can be properly cleaned and sanitized. To be corrected by August 31, 2021. This is a 1st Re-License Inspection for a Class “A” license. The inspection and exit briefing were conducted with the applicant. All items must be in compliance within 2 more inspections or by October 18, 2021, or the applicant will forfeit the license fee and must wait 6 months to reapply. Please contact your inspector to schedule your next Re-License Inspection. Regulated activity can continue under your existing USDA license until it expires. End Section
