There were no dates for the administration of distemper and parvovirus vaccines for the adult dogs. Licensee must keep and maintain records of the names and dates of all vaccines and treatments given to adult dogs. Correct by May 26, 2022. 2.75(a)(1)(vi) (Non-Critical) – Records: Dealers and exhibitors.
The cage cards on the primary enclosures for 20 puppies did not include a unique number identifying each puppy. Failure to identify puppies with a unique identification number makes it difficult to keep track of puppies born, raised, or died. Licensee must keep and maintain records on APHIS form 7005, or on cage cards placed on the animals’ primary enclosure for puppies under 16 weeks of age which include a unique identification number for each puppy. Correct by October 1, 2023.

3.13(b)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
There were no dates recorded for when the annual parvovirus and distemper vaccines were last given since 2022 for the adult dogs. Failure to record the dates of all vaccines and treatments administered to adult dogs makes it difficult to track if vaccines and treatments are being done as prescribed in the written program of veterinary care (APHIS form 7002A). Licensee must record the dates of all vaccines and treatments given to the adult dogs to ensure adequate veterinary care is provided. Correct by October 1, 2023. During this time, inspector waited at the facility, knocked on doors, and called phone number on file leaving a message. Failure to provide access to the facility, animals, and records for inspection is a serious violation of the AWA and regulations. Failure to comply may result in enforcement action. The facility representative disclosed that primary enclosures for dogs are spot-cleaned daily using a detergent, but are sanitized monthly with a disinfectant. Primary enclosures must be sanitized at least once every 2 weeks using a prescribed method as inadequate sanitization may promote growth and spread of pathogens.
