3.6(a)(2)(x) (Non-Critical) – Primary enclosures.
The outdoor floor of the southwest enclosure has a slat missing right next to the panel where the dog housed there possibly could have a foot pass through the gap (the dog was observed to avoid this area). To prevent injury; slatted floors need to be maintained in a manner to protect dogs’ legs and feet from passing through any openings. Ensure that this area is repaired and that the slatted floors are maintained in a manner that protects dogs’ feet from the possibility of passing through openings in the floor. ***Correct by October 15, 2023. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with facility representatives. n

3.1(e) (Non-Critical) – Housing facilities, general.
The storage area of two bags of unopened dog food had some spilled feed and rodent droppings between the bags of food. Rodent droppings suggest vermin such as mice can get into the food supply and rodents can contaminate food and make dogs sick. Ensure that food is stored in a manner that protects food and bedding supplies from vermin infestation. ***Correct by 3/18/2025 (facility cleaned out spilled feed and droppings prior to exit interview, ensure food storage area is protected from rodent entry). This inspection and exit interview were conducted with a facility representative. n
