3.11(d) (Non-Critical) – Cleaning, sanitization, housekeeping, and pest control.
A 12-week old puppy is being kept in quarantine in the barn part of the kennel away from the rest of the dogs. The barn part of the kennel has large doors that open to the outside and birds are able to get inside the barn. Bird feces was observed on top of the shelter provided for the puppy within its enclosure, on top of a board laying across the top of the enclosure (put there to prevent bird feces from getting within the enclosure) and on the galvanized fencing surrounding the enclosure. The puppy is able to come into contact with the bird feces that is on the fencing. Bird feces is a disease hazard for any dogs exposed to it. An effective pest control program must be established and maintained so as to promote the health and well-being of the animals and reduce contamination by pests in animal areas. Correct by 6/25/26. This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. End of report. n
