3.6(a)(2)(ix) (Non-Critical) – Primary enclosures.
Surfaces in the primary enclosures of the whelping area have not been maintained to enable ready cleaning and sanitization. Roughly 18 of the 24 whelping boxes for mothers with litters have moderate chew damage. These areas have cracks and grooves that are not able to be cleaned and sanitized easily. Disease pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, or parasites can remain in these areas and cause illness in the dogs. All surfaces of the primary enclosures, including furniture, that are in contact with the dogs, must be maintained to be readily cleaned and sanitized. Correct by: 5/22/26

3.11(a) (Non-Critical) – Cleaning, sanitization, housekeeping, and pest control.
The primary enclosures have not been cleaned daily as required. Several days’ worth of feces have accumulated on the outdoor portions of the sheltered housing facility. The licensee stated he does not currently spot clean these areas on a daily basis. Daily cleaning is required for proper husbandry and to control disease hazards, pests, and odors. Correct by removing excreta from primary enclosures daily, and from under raised floors as often as necessary to prevent excessive accumulations of feces and soiled dogs, disease hazards, pests, and odors. Correct by: 4/23/26 This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n
