3.13(a)(3) (Non-Critical) – Veterinary care for dogs.
The facility is not sampling for heartworm as prescribed in the Program of Veterinary Care (PVC). The PVC states heartworm testing will be performed once a year. The last heartworm test was done on 1/16/24. There was no testing done in 2025. Failure to follow sampling requirements in the PVC can lead to failure to detect disease in the dogs. The facility must follow the Program of Veterinary Care including sampling for parasites including heartworm. Correct by: June 1, 2026 This inspection and exit interview were conducted with the licensee. n
