Changing the world for animals, by educating one person at a time!

Dog by Dog featuring Bailing Out Benji

Dog by Dog is a documentary that aims to wake up the American public to the horrible realities of puppy mills by following the money trail across the United States and confronting those that have maintained this corrupt and irresponsible system. While many documentaries have admirably exposed the public to the sickening underworld of puppy mills, what has been missing from the public discussion is a close examination of the umbrella of monetary support which has sentenced millions of healthy dogs to death and allowed the most irresponsible dog breeders to thrive. Many people try to save these animals one by one, or dog by dog. To view the trailer, click here

In January 2014, our organization was honored to host Director Chris Grimes and Filmographer Travis Edwards as they traveled to Iowa to feature our founder, Mindi Callison and our amazing volunteers. The came all the way to Ames to feature our protests and our mission in their amazing film. The day of the protest, it was almost -20, one of our coldest of the year.

The next 2.5 years have proven to be a whirlwind of excitement, outreach and education! Bailing Out Benji was present at screenings in Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, Ames (Iowa), Denver, Cleveland, Bettendorf (Iowa) and soon in Omaha! We have been thrilled to inspire people across the country and help them start protests and advocacy groups in their own corner of the earth! And we are very happy that the Ames screening of Dog by Dog was the biggest of any screening to date!

On January 31,st 2017 , the plan is to have Dog by Dog on every TV in the country through distribution. Click here for more information
